Cyprus Blockchain Technologies (CBT) and Cyprus Blockchain Association (CBA) have officially announced their merger, forming the largest non-profit organization in Cyprus dedicated to Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) and Blockchain. The newly unified entity will continue to operate under the name Cyprus Blockchain Technologies.
This merger aims to leverage the extensive global network of CBA and the robust local partnerships of CBT to establish the Cyprus Blockchain Technologies Centre as a prominent participant in Cyprus’ blockchain ecosystem. It also positions Cyprus as a regional hub for innovation and investment in emerging technologies. The collaboration enables local businesses to engage in international projects, exchange knowledge and expertise, and access services within a network spanning over 30 countries.
Dr. Assiotis, Chairman of CBT, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, emphasizing its role in establishing the Cyprus Blockchain Technologies Centre as the premier blockchain think-tank in Cyprus. He highlighted its potential to enhance understanding of blockchain technologies, explore their business prospects for diverse stakeholders, generate new knowledge, and develop best practices related to commercial, managerial, and societal implications in this field.
