The passed Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation Budget of 2022 includes a section “Article 03502 – Training” which includes “Training of operators on BLOCKCHAIN ​​technology applications” with a total budget of €2,380. It states also the same amount of budget for the upcoming years of 2023 and 2024.

Generic Information of The Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation Budget of 2022:
According to the amended Budget, the expenditure for 2022 amounts to €6,693,688 and is €1,737,642 higher than the Office’s Budget for 2021, since it includes a refund of fees of €1,786,316 to electronic communications providers and post offices. The revenues for the year 2022, according to the Budget data, will amount to €4,646,518.

Therefore, the 2022 Budget is in deficit and this deficit will be covered by the Office’s reserve.
